How to Find Us...

We are situated on the Digey, a narrow, cobbled street between the Harbour and The Tate Gallery on Porthmeor Beach.

Enter St Ives from Carbis Bay and take the right hand fork at The Porthminster Hotel and continue down the hill to the Harbour. At The Sloop pub turn left up the hill, turn left and left again. With Bumbles tea room in front of you turn left again and you will find The Loft 75 yards on the right hand side.

The road is very narrow at one point and you may prefer to park in a public car park either at Barnoon, The Island or The Sloop and carry your cases to The Loft.

We are now able to provide a reserved car parking space at Porthgwidden Car Park. You will no longer have to fight for a space in the public car parks. This is between the Island car park and the Museum and is a level walk to The Loft. It is reserved space number 77. The Charge is £25 per week rising to £30 during the school holidays. Please reserve the space when you book The Loft.

Travel Instructions:

By Road:
The main A30 is mostly dual carriageway and runs from Exeter to Penzance. At Hayle keep on the A30 leaving Next and Boots on your left. Turn right at the next roundabout on the A3074 to St. Ives. Across a mini roundabout, then turn right at the next roundabout through Lelant. Drive through Carbis Bay, past Tesco and St Ives Motor Co. With the Porthminster Hotel on the right take the right hand fork signposted to town centre. If using Sat Nav do not turn left into Fore Street but keep on this road past the Harbour. After the Sloop Pub turn left and follow the road to the left and left again. At Bumbles tea room turn left. This is 'access only' to Fore St. We are 75 yards on the right opposite The Digey Food Room.

By Train:
Regular Intercity Services running to Penzance stop at St. Erth station, and from there a frequent (approx every half hour) local service runs along the beautiful three mile scenic branchline to St. Ives. At St Ives station consider a Taxi for the short journey approx £3.

By Air:
Regular Flights from Gatwick, Manchester and Leeds (Air Southwest), Gatwick (BA), Manchester (Flybe), Stanstead (Ryan Air), Luton and Cork (Aer Arann), Dublin (Arun Air), Ulster (Flybe) to Newquay Airport operate with only 60 minutes flying time. Taxi to St Ives £40 approx each way.
